Shedding has been great this year, finding lots of big ones as I hoped since few big bucks have been shot in the last couple years! The snow is disappearing overnight, ticks are everywhere, but so are the sheds! Heres a few good ones to drool over!

http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/data/500/medium/IMGA0241.JPG (http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/showphoto.php?photo=13486&size=big&cat=500&ppuser=501)
The above is a 77" typ with 20" of mass, found on 3' of snow!

http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/data/500/medium/IMGA0254.JPG (http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/showphoto.php?photo=13485&size=big&cat=recent&limit=recent)
Heres another 77"er with 20" of mass

http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/data/500/medium/IMGA0252.JPG (http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/showphoto.php?photo=13484&size=big&cat=recent&limit=recent)
The shed above is not mine!!! It belongs to a buddy, he found it about 6 years ago (so dont all rush here) he never could find the match or the buck!

http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/data/500/medium/IMGA0250.JPG (http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/showphoto.php?photo=13483&size=big&cat=recent&limit=recent)
This is the shed Ive been promising to show Tooley, as it resembles his buck from this past season!
I wouldnt begin to know how to score such a thing, but it is probably the heaviest mulie shed Ive ever held!
What these pics dont show is the thickness, its about 3" thick in the middle of that palmation!!!!!

http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/data/500/medium/IMG_3194.JPG (http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/showphoto.php?photo=13487&size=big&cat=recent&limit=recent)
And for todays finally, my best sheds to date!!!
I found the left side last week by fluke while snowmobiling, it scores 94" with 20" of mass, it also has an inch or 2 of broken and chipped points!
Many who attended the sheep banquet have already seen this one!

http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/data/500/medium/IMG_3195.JPG (http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/showphoto.php?photo=13488&size=big&cat=recent&limit=recent)
I spent an hour searching for its mate the first day, 2 hours on snowshoes the second day to dicover that it wasnt going to be easy!
I had fears that the other side had landed on the road and a sledder or quad guy might have grabbed it already! (Many restless nights)
Yesterday I decided to giver another whirl, 3 hours of intense searching turned up another 5 sheds, as well as the match at the end as I was en route for my vehicle!

http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/data/500/medium/IMG_3196.JPG (http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/../photos/showphoto.php?photo=13489&size=big&cat=recent&limit=recent)
The right side only scores 90" but has 4-5 inches of broken points!
Given that the mainbeams almost the same as my avtar buck, and the frame is a bit bigger, im crediting him the same inside spread of 24".
As shown hes got a 200" mainframe, add the extras he grosses 208"
Add all the broken tips back on and this buck probably grew a 215" rack after it was dried, probably a 220" back in september!
The best part is he's still alive!
heres the link to my last shed thread for those that missed it!

Thanks Mark....that Muley Moose is really something. He looks like that one that was posted a while back...only the rack was on a dead muley.

Man would have loved to have run into him ....

Cool thanks

Nice find!!! I was wondering if you'd find the match. Photo's don't do the sheds justice.

Awsome Mark, I was wondering when we were going to hear from you. That monster paddled buck is real impressive. Maybe even more impressive than my buck, we will have to compare some time, thanks for sharing.

Looks like Kelowna is the next Clearwater eh? ;) Congrats on the great sheds Mark. Up here we've still got way too much snow to have much success sheddin'. We are running at least 3 weeks late in snow melt. Heck I still have a good foot in the back yard.

Tooley, if yer ever down this way shoot me a PM ahead of time, Im always up for a bullshit with another shed hunter or hunter!

how far away was the match to that one?

The match was about 100 yards away from the first, it was over a very steep bank that I couldnt navigate on snowshoes during my first searches!

Nice find, Mark...

Good guess, but too bad the area is already slammed with hunters, not my favorite stomping grounds for that reason.

Wildman, i havnt even hiked that hill this year, i did pass through there a couple times on the snowmobile enroute to higher ground and there was a ton of whities in there as usual! As well a few moose right in the area I met ya.
I wouldnt worry about snow, at the rate its going there wont be any left by next weekend!

Thanks man, I can say, It fells like a SAR member looking for a lost child, with every passing hour, hope fades, and I get the sinking feeling that I will never find it! What a relief when the eyes finally lock on!

That would be funny, lots of people are suggesting to mount it, not a chance here, I like em more when I can handle them!

Well she would have to beet me on the draw for that buck, with our late winters and early gun season closers, I feel It will be a bow season hunt!

Sorry bud but those are the highlights, its all just dinky 170 class bucks or less, and oldies from there.
Hows your pile stacking up??? Your about due for some shed pics for us!!!
My knees are just getting warmed up!

Right on Mark! I was lookin' forward to seeing some nice tine and you didn't disappoint... Those should make for some good huntin' dreams until the opener...

Did Dave shoot another hawg last season on the other side?

I've never shedded for muleys, but plan to this year. What elevation do you find the big boys at? ~4,000 ft? Do they rut near there?

Dave got a smokin whitey last year, no mulie, it sucked here! The muley sheds are anywhere from the lake up to about 4000'. Usually the higher ground for big tine!
