Moose LEH Hunt

I was talking to my trapper instructor yesterday about moose LEH in region 5-12A and 5-13 he said that both these areas good place to hunt for moose and mule deer.

He cowboy-ed in the area for 50 years and knows it like the back of his hand.

What my question is is what is the best time to hunt this area in the rut my friend said the 10 of Oct is this a good time to head up for the rut ???.

Hey Wayne, I hunted 5-13 for many years when I lived in PG, rut times are still the same IMHO, last week Sept and first of Oct for the peak weeks.

Hey Wayne,
Some guys at work have been hunting there for years and they always go on the later hunt.Oct 15 on I think.They seem to do well early in their hunt.

Thanks Ken ,my trapper instructor said that he gets his moose every time he get a LEH draw in ether 5-13 or 5-12 and he hunts them around the first two weeks of Oct.
