Howdy, I can't find my LEH papers and I was curious to know if tere was a LEH on the island for Grizzlies or is it closed to hunting? I don't see anything in the regs/synopsis either. Thanks Later

Likely because they're like hens teeth!! There aren't supposed to be any grizz on the island, but it does happen.

So if a person was to get a draw for 5-8 or 5-9 which ever Bella is in would that part be closed to hunting? Just curious. Thanks

Looked at the LEH rag this am, and I would say zone A of 5-09 would include the islands Denny, Campbell, Athlone etc. , therefore Bella Bella too. The shaded part of the map runs out into the chuck with a straight line boundary, so not specifically excluding the islands.

Howdy, the reason I was asking about the LEH and opening dates ( I do not have an LEH ) was because I was talking to a fellow on tuesday who lives there and he just saw a fairly large bear-around 7+ ft. and at least 500 lbs. his guess and one about 350 lbs. about a mile from the big one.

One of the senior members emailed me with some information on the area which was interesting.

As I said earlier I can not go so if the season is open now on Campbell Island maybe one of you shoud head up that way (Waglisa). Later

There is no open season for grizzlies anywhere in BC...
