Well I connected on big muley, I green scored him at 162 3/8 B&C typical. Where we were the bucks seemed to be staying in the heavy timber. The little bucks were around , but finding the bigger ones was a chore. I spotted him in a poplar grove and a 60 yard spine shot with my 270 win put him down. 172lbs on the hooks. PICS!!

Thanks Everyone, Thats a region 5 Buck Freashtracks. They didn't seem to rutting hard at all this guy did have lots of bark and crap around his bases, but no ladies with him. I wasn't hunting down towards 100 mile, but I did hear that there was more rut action down that in that area.

Hey Boo, your secrete area? If you are secreting in the bushes then I don't want to be anywhere near that area!

That is what hapens when thick fingers start typing after 2 or 6 beers! ;)

It happens to be a secret area for secreting as well as shooting 140+ class mulies!

In all truth the area Mark and his dad hunt is one that I spend a lot of time in. I shot that 4 point there a few weeks back. We put Robert G fronm HuntShoot onto a spike during his last day up here last month after a "sure-thing" area turned up dry. My daughter also shot a 4 x 3 mulie there in September.

The great thing is that there is very little hunting pressure in that particular area due to a number of reasons. Outside of Mark and myself there are only a couple of other guys who frequent the area on a regular basis.
