I know how much some of you love to look at the old time pics so heres one of my great grandpa with his best buck back when he used to guide in the kettle valley in the 1950's. Grandpa probably wouldn't have thought much of all the effort we put in now my great uncles favorite story was about the time he did a deer drive for grandpa and when he got back to the blind grandpa had a blazing bonfire going to keep warm while he watched lol.

That is a dirty giant for sure. Do you still have the rack in the family? Thanks for sharing the pic with us.

Tuffer,
Cruisers have been around since the very beginning of forestry in this province. We've always been able to hunt while working. ;)

A lot of guys seemed to do that 'back in the day'. Didn't matter what the size, it was just something that got in the way of getting to the meat.

Nice heirloom - Take care of that one.

Great spread!
I can remember seeing a string of them like that moving across the hillside single file and the snow was up to my waist. Had to pull ourselves up from tree to tree. A hunt to remember.
Thanks for the reminder!

I love looking at old pictures like that. The museums around the kootenays are full of early 1900's pics. There is one I should post. Three or four of these guys in thier red and black checkered plad with thier 30-30's took four.. thats FOUR ..really nice rams in a day trip via horse and wagon:smile:
