WTH....woke up to -43 this am, and here we thought this awful freezing crud was over. From what they tell us it should at least kill off a couple of pine beatles?? We had been seeing a few migratory birds around lately so suppose most of them will be frozen rock hard by now??

ANyone got a recipe for frozen warbler pie??

This is absolutely brutal. Thankfully I'm heading down to the island on Thursday. Maybe I might see plus temps for a few days.

Bear season? ?? No self respecting bear is coming out for at least 3 more months. Its -20 here in Kelowna. I was going out dog hunting this morning but I think I will let it warm up a bit.

This weather is the reason l left the oil patch many moons ago!! I remember when l first moved to the Okanagan and people would bitch about about double digit minus temps and l would wonder what their problem was......now l can whine with the best of them :) The only creatures l see really enjoying these temperatures are my chessies.......a guy can almost get cold watching them fun and frolic in the snow, they love it.

I'm told the cold days are the best days for 'yote hunting! They move around more.

Whilst driving through Giscome one day I saw a gentleman painting his car. In his driveway. With a can of paint and a brush

"Winter back with a vengance?"
I'm loving it, mind you it doesn't get too cold around here either.
If I had it my way, it would truly be Never Summer.

No chair lifts in the Port Renfrew area, it's all up hill with a bad hair cut.:p

Then when you do reach the top it's best to clear the snow off the walk way with the high tech shovel.

Tuesday morning was much warmer

Now I've got my fingers crossed for more of the white stuff to fall.
Seems that spring bear is still sleeping around here, the only animal tracks I found up here were Squirrel and one Marten.
