Just wondering since i have only been hunting for 2 years and have never hunted bear before is it legal to shoot a sow with no cubs or can you only shoot boars?

Thanks a bunch.

yes it is legal to shoot a sow without cubs. just be very wary when hunting bear. those little balls of fur can hide well. in trees, tall grass etc. just take your time and do your best to ensure there are no cubs. good luck

you can shoot a sow with no cubs and it is perfectly legal although good hunting ethics dictate that you should try to shoot only boars. I once read that shooting a sow is the same as shooting 5 boars as far as game management goes
