Saw my first Black Bear of the Year today.
Just a little guy about 10 miles south of Boston Bar (Komo)
Looked still pretty sleepy and very skinny Big Boys should be waking up soon.

I was out by Nanaimo Lakes today walking the dog and checking out animal sign etc. and was thinking about bears coming out soon.

:shock: minus -38c here this morning, 12 inches of new snow, maybe just a while before bears wake up in reg 7b,:|

2 weeks ago I saw 2 bears between Macknezie and Prince Geroge. And about 6 weeks ago I saw one in Sparwood/Elkford area on my way to the Fording River mine.
But this morning its -35 here in Mackenzie.

:eek: :roll: Woke up this morning to 4" of snow. We're at sealevel here, so I can imagine what is happening up in the mountains.

was minus 20 here in the puddle this morning. . . . . i want it to be spring. i want to chase bears now........

Saw 2 yesterday 1 at Choate a large Male and another smaller one at Stout. The boy's are starting to see more each day. Their waking up.
