March 1st Goose Hunt

My dad and I were able to get at the geese again today. Another great day. The day started wet with rain and slowed down as the day went on. Once shooting time stared we only had 2 pairs by 7:45 that ignored the decoys.

After that, a large flock came and my dad shot a triple. 3 geese in 3 shots! After we picked up 2 of the 3, we needed to chase down the third. On our way to the downed goose, 2 flocks of geese decide to swirl down for a look at the deeks. Unfortunately, both flocks saw us before we could hide somewhere.

15 minutes later, a large flock starts circling us. They came well into range but our bodies were in a twisted position and we couldn't get a shot. So we let them land 60+ yards from us. My dad stands up and aims. BOOM! One tumbles over stone dead! :shock: (this is why he is longshot).

Looks like the day was for dad as he got all 4!
