Its a little over gunned, Ive achieved exactly the same results with a .300 win mag! :smile:

A little pricey shooting for gophers. .223 and 22-250 with the right loads make them blow up and you could shoot all day for the same price as a half dozen of the .50 cal.

Is that really a .50 cal? cannot see any muzzle brake, I would think he would be able scratch his nose with his shoulder blade after shooting one a couple of times while in the prone position.

The people that actually filmed this footage did not shoot all these with a .50 it was 17hmr and up, but these can be seen on thier web site at www.dogbegone.com (http://www.dogbegone.com) they did say that some were shot in the footage with a .50

That’s what it looked like when a few friends and I hunted prairie dogs in Texas a few years ago with .50 muzzleloaders loaded with conical lead bullets. Gutless and shredded.
