Was out yesterday chasing steel on the local river.Sun was high in the sky and I noticed a black blob moving in a slash high above the river.Sure enough Black Bear.With the low snow pack I think it may be a early start to the season.

went out and drove some logging roads yesterday and saw a pile a bear crap on the road.

I was thinking the same thing.Might have access to more area with the low snow pack and might green up faster this year.

I saw a black bear in Elkford about 4-5 weeks ago right by the Elkford gun range on the fording river road, and my buddy saw one inbetween Prince George and Mackenzie last week.
