I got off early from work today aand had to insure my bike due to the weather. I go for a small ride and notice a flock of about 50 canadas feeding in a field. As i am dressed in my leathers and riding a rather noisy bike I figured comming back tommorow in my car would be a better idea. Just checked the Fraser Valley Special Area Hunting map and that farm is in the "No discharge of firearms" section. And i was so stoked. Just means I'll have to ride more to find some legal areas.

I thought I was the only one using my bike as a scouting tool!

I have found alot of birds latley, but the issue I have been finding a substantial launguage barrier, or the land is leased.

I usually take about an about 4 hours a week in scouting.

Hey Jessonml... did you see the birds by Bill Bests feild? it is the feild shaped like a boot, the alternate LZ?

You're on the right track now ya have to watch them and find out where they're roosting then try and get permission from landowners under or close to their flight path. Try and get them coming from the roost as you won't have much chance when they're on their way back. Patterning them is one of the most important parts of hunting them, and very time consuming. Good luck! K
