Well here goes, my first post... given all the great threads and pictures on this site I thought I would try my first post of a couple interesting pictures that a co-worker of my brother-in-law forwarded on to me. These really caught my eye and many of you might find interesting. However, they do show mother nature at its best and cruellest. These were taken recently on the highway to Clearwater.

The chase ........... The prize .......... Hey backoff ..... --- (thanks to Shooter, he has added the big pictures to the thread below:)

I saw these pics on a remington or browning website last week. That is the meanest bob i've ever seen. His back legs are massive.

Looks like winters been treating that bob pretty good. Probably doing even better now with a big meal like that to chew on.

My guess is the deer was probably clipped by a car first. I cant imagine a bobcat taking down a healthy deer, I guess hes a wannabe cougar!

According to the net, Clearwater holds some of the biggest and has the most abundance of critters.

Lots of big Deer = Lots of big pred's.

Here and we were lead to believe that it was the wolves, cougars and yotes that were eating all the deer in Clearwater:wink:.

Nice Robertcat! Now I want to see him drag that deer away.

Ah thanks for the clarification Gatehouse. That's a big bobcat then. I've yet to see a bobcat in the wild but I did see a Lynx this year for the first time!

I've got a vid somewhere of a cat with a big rattlesnake. I'll post it if I can find it.

So many deer in Clearwater area the wolves and cats just get them walking down the streets.
I'm hunting Clearwater next season, as for this spring, Blackies in the Clearwater area. Words out. Hunting is best in Clearwater.
