You can also report duck/goose bands to the USGS (united states geological service) 1-800-327-BAND

They also have a web site that you can fill the info about the band on. I got a greater Canada last year with a neck band and a leg band, while hunting in Alberta. They sent me a Certificate of Appreciation. The bird was banded in Alturas California in June 2003, age, says-too young to fly. You get to keep the bands!:-D
