Spring Grizzly draw delayed

Just checked the ministry website. Draw is now scheduled for the evening of Feb 24, results to be available on the 25th. Another week of waiting for all of us hopefuls!

Why do these spring delays waiting for the draw results parallel the pain of a shot to the ribs ........owch! Damn eh, every year. Oh well it doesn't put us in the woods any earlier.
Good luck every one ... I am so due .... never been drawn before, it's my lucky year.

The synopsis originally stated that the draw notification would occur on or before the 20th. So assuming the were going to do the draw on the evening of the 19th and now are doing it on the 24th, the are really only a couple business days late, not a week. I'm guessing this delay is attributed to the new region 4 authorization updates which the ministry posted after the feb 4th deadline and asked for those affected to call in by the 11th (I posted a thread about it earlier). Maybe a lot of people called in and they needed a few days to sort that out??

Or there is a back-log of late entries as the courier truck hit the ditch on the way from the interior. They felt sorrier than normal for the higher than normal number of late entries, and are processing all as a deep heart-felt goodwill gesture ??

Hopefully not, but one never knows.

If in doubt now is the time to voice your pro-hunting opinion. If my recollection is correct the Ministry of Environment now has a new head honcho that may need to hear our voices. If you do decide to act with your pens (and I truely wish that you do) ask that the MOE base their decisions on proven biology. Using sound biology as an argument is something that the anti's will have trouble with.

Relax SLIK you can't hunt until April 15th anyways ;-). Draw results available on the 25th, but an inside source gave me your results: NIL :-P.

I heard from great Athorita that to get you refund you have to send in 6 dollars S&H for each LEH :razz:

Seems every year they can't get the draw done when they say they are going to do it. Why they even put out a date for us to look forward too is beyond me. It is obviously a fine art of messing with us that they have down to a science.

You gotta stick the horseshoe up there when your filling out the card, not before you head out for the hunt. Either way Congrats on the 2pt and good luck with the griz tag....your gonna need it! :razz:

Government workers - you got to love them...

It seems like timelines do not mean much for them .... I deal with this often in my line of work. 21 days actually means ... 21 * 1.09 + 2 / 6 + 25. And BODMAS rules in math do not apply!
