Made it back safe & sound. The trip was awesome, Fishing even better. We started out on the water at 06:30 sharp and out we went.Here's the sunrise;

This is my hunting partner and I in the boat on the way out;

Saw lots of turtles in the ocean, actually had to keep an eye out so the boat would not hit them;

It was a great day, we went out on a 42' boat called the "ORION", had 7 lines out, caught lots of Mackerel which we kept for bait and and around 10:30 I caught the first Sailfish, which after reeling it in to the boat I released it. It was approx. 7' long & 80Lbs. 45 min. later My buddy hooks into one and again after reeling in he released it. it was about the same size.

At about 13:00 hrs I hooked into one and after reeling it in we were left with no choice but to keep it as the stomach had come right out (as seen in the picture); It was 8" 8" long and wieghed 125 Lbs

We came back to shore at 15:30 hrs, It was a long day out fishing and lots of fun. We gave the fish to the captain as a tip to keep he was unbelievably happy as our arrangement prior to leaving, was to keep all the fish that we caught.

Coming back to Zihuatanejo Pier

Cool trip Mik. Nice photos. Thanks for sharing:-).

I believe they throw their stomachs out as a defense mechanism and will actually suck them back in if released (at least that's what I've read and seen on fishing shows).

Cool trip. I'm way overdue for something like that.

I have heard exactly what Johnybear wrote, some people also say that it came up too fast from the deep water??? I do not know exactly, but the captain was happy to keep it.

It was one of the cheapest places that I have ever fished at, entire boat, 2 people,all day, $350 US....well worth it,;

I don't know how I would have handled the "Super Panga" as the waves were quite large and "rolling". The SP boat went for 180 US$ all day. All the SP Boats we saw leaving, the people were getting wet.:cool:
