gross typical score is 177 0/8 net score is 167 1/8 , and thank you dave. he shot it in 1992. it is still the BC record blacktail.

I've seen some good blacktail bucks but obviously none from that line of genes. What a great buck:smile:

Ooops, Dave I don't have that book. But a buck taken from West Plateau with a broadhead made one bc record a few years ago, that's what I heard. But I might be wrong.

I know # 174 and have a 115 rack. True big blacktails are getting tough to figure here on the mainland as cross-bred genes do kick in. I know Chilliwack has a few record racks, but I don't believe that #1 will be touched for some time.

I don't either Bill but I have a friend that loaned me his. He also has a big blacktail that was disqualified because it was taken on the wrong side of the line that the record keepers ruled as mulie country.

that deer was shot up slesse mountain by Al st.pierre there have been numerous good deer taken from up there and some real brutes. If you want to put the miles on then go for it.

all im sayin is what if a mulie crosses the line into blacktail country, he instantly becomes a blacktail, what if the hunter lies about where he actually shot it? If I were a middle of the road mulie id wander into blacktail country kickass on all the little bucks and slam tail all day. Wouldnt you?

take it easy there grumpy pants. muleys and blacktails , tails are different, and a blacktails antlers are more narley. i know where he shot it, i was up there. and it was shot in the fraser valley.

hey elkhound i whish i had a deer like yours, the biggest blacktail ive shot was a three pointer, i would do a happy dance for a four pointer.

when i look at the three pointers, antlers, they are very nice and high. i shot three deer that year, two four point mulies, and a three point blacktail, i must of done a little jig, i want to get a big four point blacktail.

hey, ive got a job, im no boxcar willie.hey marc i think he insulted us.dave i hope it isnt because i drink so much coffee. any how im going to go out sunday, and find me a #1 blacktail or a least a four pointer, ive shot at two good sized four pointers across from my dads when he use to live on sylvester road. he sat on the porch and laughed at me when they ran away, 12 gauge with ssgs was to far away, these deer were there around mid october chaseing does. used to be all hazel nuts, then the easter indians bought it and turned it into blueberries. see a few bears in there once in a while.

Maybe we should just go sit on the porch of the old house, I'll bring the coffee. And if you go out and get a buck on Sunday you'll be a bum with a Capitol B, but the least you could do for us crazy shift type workes is give us a clue as to where you shot it.
