Yep,
Go on scouting trips this spring. It's far more rewarding when you explore and find those sweet spots that you can make your own. Even on crown land there are vast areas of trophy holding potential. Good luck.
Cheers

I shot a few bucks in the 170 class in that area ,not so many moose ,but lots of good hunting for mule deer.

Bankier up the road from Headly/Nickleplate Rd? Just curious! I love that whole area though, tons of deer through there. LR

Edit: I found it on the map. Looks like some BEAUTIFUL hunting country up there! I gotta do that drive sometime!!!!

Used to hunt up there ALL the time! Heck it was my Uncle who pushed to get the name back to Bankier! Instead of the common "Osprey Lk" that eveyone was calling the area of the rail crossing.
Tons of great areas and great mule deer hunting, eastfork, southfork, trout creek, moosepoop, siwash, teepee lk, dillard.....the list goes on. Just spend some time booting round all the roads up there and you will find plenty of game. Allways buy a moose tag if your hunting up there, because they are arround, and with an Imature season you may get lucky...lord knows we have!
Where did you buy? My Uncle used to own the place behind the store on the hill to you left just as you head up teepee lk rd (the last house before you go into the bush)
Had I known he was thinking of selling I would have bought his place, but he just came out and shocked everyone when he took a suprise offer!

Those are two good areas but Kathleen is more of war zone of people yelling at each other and shooting.

Just before you get to Headly coming from Princeton there is a gravel road on your right .

Turn right onto this road and head back into this area.
I hunted this area for about 15 years in total ,lots of big bucks in this area .

I took a 177, 7/8 score out of there and saw bigger ones that I could not get a shot at ,hear is the 177 ,7/8 deer that is going to the taxidermy this year to get mounted ,it is in the BC record books.

Was working in that area for the last two weeks, saw some deer, not alot, and one herd of about 20 elk. We did however see alot of moose. Locals were telling us that the deer numbers have been way down from past years and that hunter presure has been very high. Does look like good country though.
