2009 sheds?????

Anyone been out shed hunting? I have been out a few times in the Okanagan area, into lots of Deer but no horns on the ground.Anyone having any luck yet?

been out alot (5) times and only one whitetail shed so not doing very good yet. but i saw three mule deer bucks this last weekend so i think most mulies still have them on their heads.

I would need snow shoes to get to my shed. That should not be a problem, but my snow shoes are in the shed.

Did see two mid sized mulie bucks a couple of days ago that were still wearing their head gear. Perhaps the big boys have dropped, but tough to find with the recent snowfall.

I saw a couple of bull moose on the weekend that were free from extra weight on their heads. They were in four feet of snow though, which might make shedding less than productive.

I posted a 2 point on the island forum that I found last week.

The areas I go still have too much snow & ice on the roads to get close to where I start my walk. The closest place won't be accessable until March.
That is as long as I don't walk 5km up steep windy road.
But this year COULD be good as the show MAY have pushed the big boys down & helped them yard up.

Was out a few times, and just this past saturday, didn't find any but lots and lots of game trails, bedding areas so hopefully it will be a hot spot for when they do start dropping! Lots of snow, have to be careful walking on top, break thru and it's over the knee. Had a fab time traipsing around the forest tho :) lots of sunshine. Interesting to hear about mule sheds, as a buddy's buddy found a set last week? hmmm can't wait to get out there s'more!

went out today for 2 1/2 hours.. didn't find not one.. saw tons of sign. trampled trails.. no antlers!!!

Im up to 15 sheds so far, got 2 real cranker mulies now, and 4 sets, Ill have to start a thread and post some pics soon. You guys can sweat a lil longer! :p

Been out 2 times actually looking, found a 4 point whitey and a 2 piont whitey.

Watched a bachelor group of whitey bucks about 7 of them last week all 4 point plus all still packing except one he had one antler, the other was hanging out of my back pocket.

Found another bachelor group today with 20+ does nearby. 6 dink bucks except a cranker 5 point whitey prob 150 class, old and heavy and starting to revert.
watched the big boy for an hour he had both sides still.
Got both groups patterned, so hopefully I will have a set or 2 to post up soon.
