Unuk River

Hello all...

Has anyone on HBC ever hunted, fished, trapped or worked in the Unuk River watershed (located in Region 6 just south of the Iskut River)... If so, what can you tell me about the wildlife, fish, and ease of traveling in that country...

Also, does anyone know the current status of the Eskay Creek mine (located in the Unuk watershed) and in particular the status of the mine access road?

Mine road is CLOSED. No access. Signs at the LARGE fortress of a gate and someone watching it from the shack. many of the roads are washed out or yo ucannot access. Nice country up there though in the fall.
