Just got these photo's from the Taxidermist

This is the whitetail I shot in 2005, took me a while to get off my ass and send it out to get mounted but after I got my 1/2 lifer Goat mount back I really got motivated to get the whitey done.

This is shortly after he finished putting the cape on the form, so its still very wet and with no touchups so I can only imagine how good its gonna look after its all done and the makeup is on:biggrin:

Now I gotsa get meself a decent Mulie to mount:D

Beautiful buck, Brambles... awesome tine length !

Why would you hesitate to mount a beauty like that? I would have driven to the taxidermist's on my way home from the hunt.

Lemme guess.......Clearwater?

Same taxidermist that did my 1/2 lifesized goat.

Not really sure why I waited this long, I guess I had aspirations of mounting him myself, but a British Columbia buck of this caliber doesn't come around very often.

Clearwater....hhmmmm well if I said Clearwater then no one would believe me. Only big mulies come from there. This was a West Kootenay buck, which to me, makes him even more special. I shot him at 36 yards in the thick timber.

Yeah my wife is wondering where we're going to put him too, she got a little moody when she found out I was having another animal mounted before the home renovation. Apparently she doesn't listen to me when I talk, so she missed the part when I told her about it months ago.

I got lots of places in the house picked out, shouldn't be a problem finding a good spot for him.8-)

Nice deer. Now when you renovate, you can add a special room for all your critters.

Very nice Buck, and the work your Taxi did looks great too.
Congrats on a good BC W/T

By the way I have been admiring your avtar, got any bigger pic's of the
mount of a good Billy. I've wanted the 1/2 mount Billy on the ledge looking down, triangular rock corner ledge, very cool too.

Great way to enjoy those special hunts over and over !

Now after that comment I'm going to make sure he doesn't come out of the crate until he gets home.

He who touches the whitetail mount gets paid back 100 fold.8-)
You don't wanna smell what the Rock is Cookin......

Didn't concentrate too much on the score, he's pretty uneven side to side. I grossed him just after he was shot at Just over 161". Inside spread is just under 15", Longest tine is 11.5" Mainbeams are right around 24".

Nice animal. I can picture it,sneaking or leaning on a tree in the thick stuff, movement, wholly crap, heart pounding,a little shakey, lean on that tree and bear down, find that throat patch or boiler room patch, squeeze, boom!! More heart pounding and a few war whoops ... Nice!
