Was that 196 5/8th nontypical whitey from BC or was it an out of province entry?

Some very nice racks there. The thing I noticed most about the pictures was that all the guys were much younger than me. Thats good for the sport of hunting having lots of young blood taking it up. Way to go guys.

Rheet Poluski scored it Gross 165 4/8 N/T - Net 159 4/8 N/T he figured it was a N/T because it has way too many deductions. The BC book is 160 for N/T I'm pretty sure.

It doesn't matter how many deductions it has - it matters whether it has 20 inches of abnormal points to make it a non-typical. Side to side deductions for non-symetry don't count as abnormal points on the main frame.

From the pics, it looks like it would be scored as a typical, as those stickers probably won't total 20 inches. Net for the BC book is 165 for NT.

Were the guys scoring qualified scores or just some guys from the club that do the scoring. If you dont know I would get it scored by a qualified scorer. It costs like $5-10 to have a guy score it. Well worth it just for the BS session with the guy.

I thought official B&C scorers had to do it for free? I was told that they weren't allowed to charge anything.

No offence but it sounds like the scorer is a little confused on how to score

I believe you are right. The fee should/would be for entering it in the book.

I know Rick in PG has scored a few of my animals and there has been no charge...other than him getting me to buy the KINGS Mulie calender a few times:razz:

I hope the fee is for entering it in the book.

General Policies of the Boone and Crockett measurers #5

http://www.boone-crockett.org/bgRecords/records_policies.asp?area=bgRecords#charging

CHARGING FOR MEASURING
Official measurers volunteer their time and talents to officially score trophies for the Club’s Awards Programs. This service is provided to the public free-of-charge, regardless of whether or not a trophy meets the minimum scores established by the Club. Measurers who reportedly charge are simply asked to refrain from such activity or to resign from their positions.

There are many reasons why this policy was implemented. However, the most significant reason is the fact that the Club does not want measurers put in a position that compromises their integrity in any way. Official Measurers could feel obligated to “find” an inch or so for trophies scoring near the minimums if paid by trophy owners for their services.

My rack and brents rack were scored by an official scorer ( Rhett Pawluski ) and he scored mine at ( Gross 164 4/8 ) ( Net 159 4/8 ) and brents ( Gross 204 and change ) and ( Net 197 and change ) i cant remember the exact 8th's his were

all the others were just scored at big buck night.. and they scored mine ( Gross 163 5/8 ) and ( net 158 2/8 ) so as far as them putting a quik tape on it i guess you could say they weren't bad..

but I'm going with Rhett. Hes and oficial scorer for boone and crockett..

and Rhett didn't charge me any money!!!!!
