With all this talk of flooded timber, whats a guy to do but take the day off, go out on the last day of duck season and shoot a 3 man limit of mallards.

Still trying to work out my new camera but its coming along. Way to advanced for me but I'll figure out the real close up shots hopefully soon with a new lense. When just a camera costs $1100, I'm a little hesitant at spending another $1800 on a lense.

Alot of great retrieving today. Both lab and chessie had fun on the ice and swimming around.

And what brought us luck on this last day of duck season. A 80s vintage camo hat, worn by my father and probably seen a lot of ducks killed. I got made fun of and told to take it off, but after the ducks arrive nobody cared.

Good going! Good to hear there are more chessies out and about doing some waterfowl hunting. It's going to be a long year waiting for duck season again. Oh well I guess I'll pass the time training the dog and learning more areas.

Nice job Crazy. It just about near drove me crazy today having to go to the dentist on the last day of the season with a cold N'westerly blowing and lots of birds moving. I know they were 'cause I had just enough time to go out and pick up my crab traps and saw them as I passed by. It's seems invariable that if you make a committment during bird season the weather and tide will combine for a perfect hunting day. I've got that brant longline for you so let me know when you'd like to come and get it.

Mmmmmmm looks good, should of brought a pot and a burner, some decoys, thrown them out, shot some ducks and ate some crab. Now that'd be a hunt Bob.
