Ducks, good old New times

Well it's been years since I belonged to a local Lower Mainland club, but it's great to be back. I quit about 16 years ago except for the odd goose hunt after having to put my last Lab down, my long time buddy. Really didn't think it were right to hunt with out a dog due to the water channels etc we hunt. Well the kids are a bit bigger and we got a Retriever ..... so out we went. Bagged 5, just like old times, I wish I were standing with the old bunch, Dad, brother and good friends. Looking forward to a fresh feed of stewed Mallards. Man oh man is that steel fast compared to lead, not long range though as people say. Such thick fog waited till I saw the colors. Good Times !! Sure did miss it and it's great to be back !!

It makes it more of a challenge getting them in close but more fun if anything to see the look on their eyes when you get up to shoot.:biggrin:

One more weekend for ducks pretty much and she's a done deal till next year here on the island.
