I'm just thinking this big-based buck may have had his nards accidentally removed or injured to the point where they don't function like they are supposed to......you know like the big "cactus bucks" down south?? They usually stay in velvet but the velvet may have been stripped off post death.

My son said a friend of his dad shot a ugly buck like this near Slave Lake AB this fall. He said it was just like the picture one giant mass with lots of points like a crown. You have to love the uniquness of this guy were ever he was shot.
