7-12/ 6-1

SOunds like we are going there pretty soon, Vanderhoof area 7-12 for immature moose and maybe 6-1 for matures when it opens. Anybody been there lately? Heard of anything? What's it like for mulies and whitetails there? I friends uncle lives there and has a cabin on private land we are staying at, we havent talked to him much. Also been told we can fish the lake and take moose from the boat? Doesnt sound like hunting but I'll get out and push bush while they do that :) Taking my bow and the 300 wsm.

The lake is called Newstubb lake (sp?)

Well we're leaving now, 9 guys total, some already up there. Immature and calfs in 7-12, mature bulls next door in 6-1. Mulies and whitetails in both. They've alreadt taken a calf and immature on the first day, I hope the best is yet to come. Photos when I return!

9 guys going wow, I just finished hunting Region 7-5 I ran into a million guys there camps all over the place atv up and down the roads. My partner and I got a Cow Moose each and I got a 3point mule deer, Spread out good luck

Used to hunt that area all the time.Staying at the falls at the Holy Cross/Marilla intersection? Anyways good luck, more hunters now than moose!
