Hey guys,

My buddy has an antlerless Elk draw in Rock Creek starting on the 15th so we are heading up for a few days to see what we can find. Any info that you could swing my way (PM or post) would be much appreciated. I know the herd is not huge there so if any of you have been bumping into them in your travels in the last couple of weeks or have had the draw previously and learned their patterns and locations I would appreciate the info.

THanks,

BCBairdo

In the LEH regs it states that the draw is for private property or crown land within 400m of private property.

Yes I know that, but right across the river (east) of bosoviches is within 400m. catch them going to their bedding areas.

D6Dan....are the elk in that area down in the private land just for wintering or for most of the year?

Kebes...They usually winter down low and feed in the farm fields, but they have been known to hang around during the summer.

Thanks Dan, hoping to head over to that area this coming fall. I know if I can't find any elk there's always a good chance at a nice mulie in there. Hopefully Il'l get to make a trip in august sometime to do a bit of scouting.
