sort of..
well Ex and I started off our hunt at 8am with our buddy Brian meeting up at 1030....We all brought one of our kids
Our first bird flew in just before Brian came with his daughter, there was three birds in that flock. But two didn't like something about our decoys or something and took off...one came right in and tried to land so I let Ex go and try his very first shot at a goose. He missed on all three shots, heck i even missed one shot
The birds really didn't start moving off of the cranberry fields until around noon....Ex and Brian managed to get two birds out of another small flock of three, (we lost Brians to the bushes, spent forever looking for it) Ex's bird was a cross or something...orange legs and orangish beek. btw I missed the third bird. I later shot a bird out a flock of 10+ birds...Brian got another that glided into some trees and broke both wings:lol:
we had atleast another 5 flocks come in...man we were so pumped we were all flock shooting! it was fun! It was our first real goose hunt for this year so the next time we'll be all calm and serious ....one time Brain and the kids were off looking for his bird and Ex and I were guarding the fort then all of a sudden we see two birds coming to us...so i call away and call away they start to come in and wrap around to land in our decoys and then all of a sudden a flock of 15+ birds fly right over us with not a sound:shock: they came right inbetween us and the two already coming in....we just started pumping and firing!!! it was great...surprise! I hit one hard but it picked itself up and glide off.
Our last flock flew above us as EX and I walked back down the field from chatting to the RCMP about the calls they got Shots Fired and Birds Falling
