I was thinking of booking a goat hunt in 2010 with One Eye Outfit.

Has anyone any comments on this outfitter or the area? Any comments would be appreciated. By the way, I've apllied for LEH goats every year starting in 1990 and have yet to get a draw. The odds look very good here.

Are you looking for a guided hunt or possibly looking to do it on your own?

Looking for a booner or just a goat?

Looking for a tough hunt or a more moderate hunt?

Guided Hunt - It'll be my 60th birthday present to myself.

Would love a booner.

I'll be 60, have one knee that had surgery a couple of years ago, but it's OK, especially if I wear a brace, will probably be 15 lbs overweight, and live at sea level so thin air makes it tougher and have no rock climbing experience. A more moderate hunt may be in my best interest, although I do like hunting those moutains.

I'd go here http://www.goldenbearoutfitting.com/ if you want a milder weather and a good crack at a booner. They killed a monster last year. Probably less physically challenging than the coastal hunts. He's a good outfitter, relatively new to the area but I don't think it wasn't hunted hard for goats in the past.

Hunt here if you're OK with more weather a tougher hunt but a really good chance at a monster
http://www.coastmountainoutfitters.com/. Don't know him, just know the goats that he puts on the ground and the area. Tough country - big goats.

Being a resi they might give you a break.

They got a couple of monster book goats on the same hunt I believe. Greg and his family are good people too!

Chances of shooting a 'booner' with One Eye is pretty slim.

Greg is definatly a stand up individual and runs a great family operation.

Should anyone ever have coffee with him, 'ask him about the fellow he played cards with one summer with his 'legendary' come from behind wins  ' lol
