Does anybody know where I can send my wife to get her PAL and CORE done? She can only do it during the weekends.
Thanks

Dont waste your money on the course...

My wife studied the CORE manual the day before challenging the test and passed. I did a crash course on firearms handling with her the night before.

Stress the Bird ID, as well as safe handling of Firearms.

If she studies the reference material thoroughly, she will be fine.

Finger away from the trigger and watch muzzle direction!!

Good luck!

Next is the PAL.. same scenario, just study and challenge!

When I got my licences I went through Hart Penners class, but I was told by Hubs he doesnt teach anymore. Too bad, I thought he was pretty good. When I went to Hubs the only number he wrote down for me was Doug Tanner but he doesnt do it on the weekends.

www.silvercore.ca

these guys are the best as far as i'm concerned. they are a professional training company.

I took my PAL and RPAL through them. i took my CORE through Hart Penner. I wish I'd taken the CORE through Silvercore. They are much more informative and helpful, and they run a much more professional course. Pay the extra money and go through them, even if you choose to only challenge it.

AFAIK, Hart Penner no longer teaches do to some "complications" with the gov.

If you wanna keep it a bit cheaper I would reccomend getting her to do the courses or tests through a instructor who does it from their house. Instead of a company or something like that. Other than that I have no more advice.

Langley Rod and Gun is where I went but not sure if the guy that lives on the premises still does it now... This was years ago.
Bought my 270 off the same guy.

He also offered to take me on a fly in hunt (with others) to one of the small islands for a magazine story. Not sure if that is a positive or a negative though lol!. :)

I imagine you must be better looking that me,as I was never offered a fly in hunt.
