Received these pictures with a note that this buck was killed near Fort St. John Haven't heard anything about it. Does anyone know about this buck? maybe an old picture but it is a monster.

I've seen that picture a few times, along with a few different stories. An amazing buck for sure.

Thats a nice Whitey! I heard a rumor there was a pretty big whitetail confiscated just south of FSJ this year. Shot right on the road..?

Any truth to that...? It was apparently a really good whitetail by the sounds of it. I never made it up to that country to hunt this deer season, a new baby kiboshed that trip.

East of Fairview,AB. Place called Marie-Raine. You can see the orange AB tag on the hock.
The one south of FSJ, supposedly confiscated, continues to be just that, a rumour, as per CO.

Peace River 2008
Alberta

Peace River 2008
Alberta December 8, 2008It is a guess the score at this point.

So far all we have is this photo and reported to have been taken near the Peace River... assuming Peace River, Alberta, Canada.

I just pulled this off of Boone & Crockett's website. d6dan

Those pic's were forwarded to me as well from a buddy who said it was his uncles buddy from FSJ. Don't know where it was shot though. I didn't post them out of respect for my buddies uncle said the guy didn't want them posted all over the net.

thanks for the info it seems to me that buck is too awesome for word not to get around a small community like fort st john. I could be wrong, but we have a lot of really active whitetail hunters up here and that picture is circulating all over and no one locally knows anything about it. so i guess the mystery will be solved if it is ever entered into the records. cheers

It might be the same FSJ buck that I saw in this big buck magazine last year ,if so it scores 226 5/8 Net ,for sure a remarkable WT deer.

If it's real then it sure is a dandy. I'd be surprised if it was real however, seeing as how the pics have been on the net for quite some time now and no one has claimed it? Seems odd that someone would go to all the trouble of taking such "interesting" pics and not want to get it scored into the books...
