Here are some pictures of my new Brittany puppy "Shylo". We purchased her as a family pet but I will be training her to retrieve birds. I've been reading as much as I can in other posts but your always welcome to comment.

Beautiful pup!! I grew up with Britt's but wasn't old enough to hunt over them. I had the pleasure of hunting over one this fall,a buddies 3yr old female, wow! She was a great hunter with an awesome nose. And hunted her heart out, even after my rusty shootin cause a couple of misses......

I have been seriously contemplating getting another dog, was torn between either another lab or a britt' but I think that as far as upland birds go, the Britt is leading the vote.

That looks like an asome dog. As one who has springers and cockers all I can say is love them and introduse them to birds as soon as possible. My dogs started on the trail at 16 weeks. None of my dogs have been gun shy I think because I always made it FUN.

You might want to look at the book The Compiete Guide To Bird Dog Training by John R . Falk I found this book to be a great help when I started training my dogs .
