I finally got out today on the Pitt River and had a great hunt. Had my limit of drake mallards in about 2 hours, so I decided to sit in the blind for a while hoping for some geese. The ducks must know when your done because they started landing in my decoy spread 10 to 20 yards away . I could of had my limit again in a half an hour, easily shooting only drakes.I saw a couple of Wigeon, a couple of Gadwalls roosting on a tree floating up the river (the tide was flooding, high slack was 2:00 today) and a few Bufflehead. I'll probably give it a go again tomorrow, maybe get a shot at some geese I hope. Happy New Years.
