Lone Prairie Elk

A friend and I have tags for the late season either/or elk hunt. Thinking of heading up to the Lone Prairie area towards the end of January. Anyone have any tips/experience/advice for us?

bring some warm clothes for starters this is the coldest winter we have had for sometime. may warm up by the end of janaury tho. as for elk good idea to talk to some landowners and get set up before you come up. sometimes access is hard to get.

Assuming it is private land hunt, do you have farms lined up to hunt yet? Not much crown land in the area.
