Taxidermist???

I have a friend looking to bag a Bobcat hanging around his farm.

He has two questions: Where is there a good taxidermist nearby? And how should he handle the animal once it's down?

He lives in the Salmon Arm area but I'm sure he would travel to Kelowna or Kamloops or even a bit FURther(:wink: pun intended) for a good Taxidermist.

I know of one in Enderby and another by Swan Lake in Vernon already.

Hays in Vernon has always been known as the best around. But I really am impressed with Kevin's work (Wildside). He doesn't charge both arms and both legs either.

As for what to do with it after the shot!
1. plug the bullet holes with paper towel to stop blood from getting on the hair.
2. If you can't get it to a Taxidermist in a couple of days then freeze it whole don't gut it!

As was mentioned in the last bobcat thread......make sure he looks at the taxi's cats.....not just their other species. Cats tend to be much more difficult to master.

Hmmm for cats. ..Marco Pilon Sugar creek taxidermy..Red Deer..
Havntseen Harleys Cats...have got Harleys stone sheep..head mount..but Harley does head mounts..life size is foneby different guy in his shop.

Harley white does not to full mounts anymore, talked to him this year he only does rugs and head mounts..

Actually, I know Ian from Wildflight very well, but I did not know him at the time I created this thread. He does nice work, but last time I asked him he was not taking on new clients due to overload and backlog.
