I needed a christmas gift last minute and had been looking into making an antler lamp for awhile now. For my first one I really like how it turned out.

Started it last sunday, finished it wednesday morning. Wrapped it up pretty good for the flight and it made it with no damage.

I'm looking for sheds in the Prince George area. Pm me please, btw cheap to free is good.

This is what i came up with for the gift exchange at our Christmas / Dutch Auction.I want to put together a Chandelier of Whitetail sheds so hopefully after this years shed hunts I can find enough to complete one.

I bought a 12" 3/8ths drill bit and I used it very carefully. You either need a drill press or you gotta be real careful with the vice. I used an air drill, I could set it for the speed I wanted it at and it was pretty easy to manouever.
Also make sure you start a pilot hole. After the pilot hole use another mid size bit before you jump onto the 3/8ths.
My first hole, I jumped to the 3/8ths and it started to wander on it's own course. Kinda of a pain to get it in the right direction again. I ended up using a grinder with some diamond bits.
Besides that just plan ahead where you want it to pop out. Mine comes out of the Elk antler half way down and feeds in between the two moose sheds. Another hole takes it right to the base. The holes are vicious but there hidden and placed in the right locations.

I've seen some really nice looking shelves using older looking wood like you got there.

I'd really like to put together a coffee table now, good job there.

I think you can buy kits for like $50. I just went to a thrift store and used the hardware from an old lamp.
Where'd you get the sheds from?

SLIK,
That's very creative.
Well done. I like the final touch of the spire point horn on top:grin:

Muley kid,
That coffee table looks like walnut and cherry; or is red oak. Nice work, and who ever said that was a waste of horns is jealous or likes to hear themselves speak. I would like that in my den, anytime.

Wouldn't Muley Kid's table with Slik's lamp sitting on it look exceptionally great in any den or trophy room?
