A friend of mine recently gave me permission to hunt his blueberry farm. I have hunted waterfowl only a couple of times.
Is it worth hunting a farm this time of year with the weather we have been getting? I assume that most of the feed is under snow and that the ponds are frozen.
If the ponds on the farm thaw out, would it be worth it with snow still on the ground?
In general, where do the birds go when the ponds freeze up? . . . the ocean. . . further south?
Any recommendations for entry-level goose and duck calls?
What is the minimum number of decoys I should consider using for ducks or geese?
