just received the proposed changes to the hunting seasons in region 7b. you can pass along your comments to Peace.PermitLicenses@gov.bc.ca. Thought they might be of interest to some of the guys.

Mule Deer----no change
Elk-- 1) expand the anterless elk season for all of mu 50 from august 20 to october 31 no change to the general bull season in mu 50 2) expand the muskwa flats special elk area to include the portion of MU 7-42 north of the height of land between the prophet river and richards creek include a cow season in that area August 20-October 31 and maintain the point season dates august 15/oct 31 Rationale ---high elk numbers having negative effect on other ungulates (sheep)
3) Create a new LEH Zone for anterless elk in MU7-54 (toad River) Dec 1/Feb 28 with 50 permits

White Tails change season is MU 7-19 to correspon with mtn seasons Sept 10/Oct 5

Moose-- no changes

Caribou-- Remove the any bull season for all MU's and repalce with a 5 point or greater bull caribou for MU's 7-42. 7-50 to 7-54, 7-57 from august 15. sept 30
