I saw this deer while I was bow hunting in early September of 2007. Not a bad deer but nothing special. Couldn't get a shoot as it came out of the bush a 100 yards up from me and kept on walking away.

Then My buddy and I was hunting back there again November 11 2008. My buddy found this shed.

It has a 17 inch G2 which is not to bad.

But notice on the base of the antler that it is broken off. So that would mean that the deer lost it around Oct.- Nov. of 2007 due to the rut. This antler was also found 5 miles south of the first picture. The question is do you think that this is the same deer?

That sure is a long tined buck, could be his shed I guess, more likely a cousin of the buck in the pic, I'll bet there's some nice bucks in the area.
Shy of takin it to the lab, thats my guess.

It doesn't look like the live photo has a main that sweeps up. It also looks like it has a G1 (eyeguard) in the pic but is missing on the antler. That 17 inch point on the broken antler is considered the G2.

It could be the same antler ,in the pic you can't see the right main bean end to see if the antler does take a bend as showen in the shed pic ???.

its hard to tell. the shed looks like it could be from the same buck. my son & I have shot three mulies from the same area & their antler configuration is almost exact. same gene pool. the shed could be the brother of the one you saw. shoot him next year & do a dna test.
