Elk in 7-20 A any suggestions on where to look

My 13 year old son was fortunate to get the "either sex" elk draw in 7-20 A. We will be there on Dec 20, 21 and maybe 22. I have driven thru Fort St John several times, but have never hunted there. The CO gave me a list of farmers that have had trouble in the past with elk on their property. I have spoken to most of them and none of them have had any elk on their property so far this year. We will probably have only 2 days maybe 3 for elk hunting. Does any one have any suggestions on areas to check out? Thanks for your help.

I've only been hunting up here for a year, and always for deer rather than elk (also Buffalo but they're not in 7-20A). So any information I can give you would be sketchy at best, but PM me if you like, I'll help where I can. Always rooting for a kid to get his/her animal!
