There are plenty of scopes out there that sell for under $150 new, but I don't know that I'd trust one for much more than paper or grouse.

I bought a used 4X Leupold a few years ago for $150. Buying a used Leupold is a good way to go, Leupold's warranty transfers to the owner. I don't know about other manufacturers. If you can save up for a bit longer, you can pick up a new VX-I for under $300 (have a look over in the "sponsor's corner" forum) and they should be reliable, which is the primary requirement of a scope IMO.

I would either buy a used leupold if you can find a nice one, or a brand new bushnell elite 3200, they run about ~215 at wholesale. They are great scopes for the money. Check out vortex crossfire as well.

You could try and find an old 4x Weaver scope for under $50 and use that until you can afford to buy a good Leupold. Some of us old geezers have them just sitting around gathering dust. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on inexpensive scopes...you get what you pay for, period.

If you can find a used Leupold I would grab it send it in for whatever.I have 2 leupolds and have sent both in to be fixed and they basically rebuilt them for me.There service is excellent and they don`t ask to see a bill or any form of purchase proof.Cost about 10 bucks to send them and got them back in about 10 days. They go to okitoks Alberta and they are fast.A good way to get a good scope if you can find a used one someone wants to part with.

depends on what your using it for, for 150 bucks id look at something used

if you dont think that good optics are worth the money, buy a 3-9x32 tasco ($50) and use that till you hate it, then spend the $ on something worthwile.

Save your money and buy a good one, you will not regret your decision. Do not cheap out on your optics ever.
