There're a lot places in rugged BC mountains that you need to cross a small creek or river to get to. The problems is most time there're not a single bridge nearby. Now the rain starts coming down more often. So do you guys think a pair of high rain boots would be a good idea?

I just hunt in insulated rubber boots. Works for me.

The Mendal Canada Pro is the boot to have for BC mountian hunting.

And if you have a size 10-11 foot, you can buy mine for cheap!

take off the boots, and wade, if its not big enough to do that, then you should be able to jump it or find a stepping rock. And here is another pitch for my favorite boots;-) . Viberg, 8"+ of water proof boots. Work great.
but on creeks like this, better you just take the boots off:o

Fester, which model of the Kaylands? I had a pair of the Colorado's (greenish leather) and the rubber rand cracked and peeled off. I returned them, and tried another pair. Same thing. Now I am using a pair of Asolo full grain leather boots. Not very happy with them. If anybody is looking for a good pair of boots, talk to Gatehouse. Meindl will be my next pair probably. If I had the money I would buy them. Maybe he could hook you up with a pint to boot!
