Well I went up to the archery doe area of 1-2, before work today. Looking for something for the freezer. I got in close on this Doe and I wasn't sure if I would take her...close to when I needed to leave for work. I called a buddy who was in need of some meat and asked him if he still needed some. Yeah he did so I told him where I was and got him to come and get her. She was feeding about 40 yrds away when I made the call(she was over a bank) I moved up to the bank and she gave me a 15 yrd 1/4 to shot. I don't normally like 1/4 to as an archery shot but she was soooo close. She only ran about 25 yrds before she piled up. Now he has some meat hanging in the garage.

I case anyone cares.
Shot with my Hoyt Razortec 28" draw, 68 lbs
27.5" Easton powerflights tipped with Muzzy 125gr 3 blades moving at 270fps.
Complete passthrough from the shoulder and out the back of the ribs.

Excellent. I was up that way all year and passed on does in the early season, haven't seen hide nor hair of one for four outtings now! :0( Hope that wasn't the last one! ;-)

Good on you Steve, this late in the season and still out there with a bow. The area I hunt in is shot to shit if your lucky enough to see a deer its on the move in a big hurry..

No that's braided rope. Looks like bungees though.:smile:
