OK........now I remember how!

Anyway, as I was about to say........

I've been itching to get the pup on a cat track this winter, he's ready for his first lion.......just waiting on the snow.
Being too nice to stay inside, I decided to take the pup on hike to an area where a friend and three others had a cougar encounter while hiking a month ago. I was hoping the lion was back in the area patrolling his turf........right where buddy had encountered it.

My friends border collie was along on the hike as usual, taking up the lead by a hundred feet or so. Suddenly, it came running back to the group with a growling angry cougar in tow. The dog didn't even let out a peep, just ran for it! After a short time of seeing the cat at 20 ft away just crouched and staring, everyone's awe soon turned to concern and then to fear as the lion was showing no sign of fear or leaving. It took some loud yelling and fearless stick waving by my friend to get the cat to move on.

Didn't find any obvious cat sign, kill, etc today. Perhaps next time out.

Pics are of the Sooke hills.

Husky, to post pics, first download them onto a site like "photobucket.com". Then, open another internet page, one with HBC on it and the other with Photobucket on it.
Now, open the pic from the album on photobucket that you've just created, and copy the url of that pic with the mouse. Now, go back to the window that has your HBC post going and paste that url onto the post with the mouse.
Click "preview" to see if it worked!
Good luck, it ain't hard once you remember how!

nice pictures looks like it would be nice country to run in. Is it the same country you have been testing your collars in.

Yup, except I was lower down in the canyon while testing the collars. Yesterdays hike was to about 500m
