You should check out predatorhuntcanada. Lots of guys there that can give you good advice. You can shoot yotes with anything but if you want to keep the pelt, your best bet is to stick with one of the 22 cals like a 22-250 or 223.

technically you can hunt coyotes in abbotsford but not with a 270.win abbottsford is scatter gun only, no single progectile, and you might have a hard time hitting one with a shotgun. but you can easily get away with shooting a 22.cal with will suffice, however it is against the law. if you do just be sure of what your shooting at and also what is behind it, i live in abbotsford and i dont feel like getting shot. but a question comes up in my mind about if the animal is harrassing your livestock and you can not reach out and touch it with your shotgun, are you then permitted to shoot a single projectile at him? good luck! dont shoot my pitbull!

If you use a "dead coyote" choke or similar extra extra full turkey choke with hevi-shot or big lead I've seen them deadly up to 60 yards!

I'm running dangerously low on game meat this season, as most of my venison has been given away already... ;)

That's why I gotta bag more ducks, refill the freezer, so to speak

I tend to prepare coyote meat the same way I would a Black Lab or Doberman. I find that they are too tough if you pan fry them like you would with a Shepard or a Collie. I think just add some salt and pepper and and enjoy that delicious K-9 flesh. mmmmmmmmm yummy.

I use a 22-250 on yotes and don't laugh but i have seen coyote on the table at the game banquet more than once. Didn't try it though!
