Is it legal to purchase a bow either new or used inthe states and bring it into canada. Does the same rule apply to crossbows.

don't know about bows or cross bows but have bought guns in the states (rifles) and had an easy time getting them into the country. the mail time took longer than the paperwork

Bows & Crossbows are fine but better check which state as some crossbows could be an issue. As far as a rifle, you must have a export & import permit in place prior to even considering it. You basically have to buy the gun prior to your trip and have a US export permit in place or I think they won't even sell you it. You also have to have an Canadian import permit prior to attempting to cross the border or you chance loosing the firearm.

its no problem, but just dont expect any sort of warranty. shop your local pro shop. you will get better service, warranty and help.
