Continuing with my December 1st tradition! 8)

for most of us, deer season is closed or about to close, and some of us beat the winter blues by heading out and hunting predators.

If you shoot a coyote this winter and want to share a picture or story, feel free to add to this thread. Any info on guns, bullets, scopes, calls, setups for calling, baiting, etc, can be asked here and maybe we can help out in any ways.

also for more in-depth info on hunting predators in Canada, check out HBC's sister site : PredatorHuntCanada!

I sighted in my 221 & 22-250, tomorrow I will most likely head out for the first calling of this year!

While deer hunting in reg 3 we came accros this guy...he was running away and my buddy nailed him @ 85 yards with his 30-06 180 gr accubond. I have yet to shot a coyote myself, but I bought a call and will be trying my luck this winter!

I got a couple of Primos mouth calls and very recently aquired a Johnny Stewart digi-caller. I've been having fun calling yotes from off of the back deck (practicing NOT hunting) but for the last week, nadda. They seemed to have gotten 'wise'.

I have a lot of coyotes around that have been eating my chickens, turkeys, ducks and one family cat. Anyone wants to shoot them please do. I hope to try myself this year as well. Any recommendations for calls to use.

The Promos calls that I have, have brought in several of these 'city' yotes under 50 yrds. 2 came in to 30/35 yards. I bought them as a bundle that inc. 2 calls and an instructional mini CD (30 bucks). I've also seen a Primos pack that inc. a DVD.

This is the 3rd species that I wanted to learn how to call and can say that I like the Primo's approach (Speak the Language). I haven't been let down yet.... You should see what I can 'make' a crow do.

This was an opportunistic kill while hiking moose hunting. Shot it with the 30-06 with 180 barnes mrx it was ripped up pretty bad, I gave it to a buddy who wanted it. It was a nice hide, I need a smaller rifle for predator hunting.

You'll have to show me those calls sometime or maybe we should go out and try em?

I smoked these guys earlier this fall.

If anyone's offended by this last one, I'll delete it, but you can see what happens when a yote comes within range of a 338/8 Mag - 210 TSX. Wasn't much skinning left.
