Decided it was time to get out for a day hunt so me and buddy of mine headed for the Stawamus/Indian/Hixon Creek Branch FRS. Lots of fresh sign but did'nt connect. Was a great day to be out, roads are in great shape they havent seen traffic in months mabye years. Spent the day in their and did not see a single sole. Judging by all the elk sign the heard is doing very well, grass areas grazed right down. The river was full of dogs by the 1000's thought we would at least see a bear, I imagine they had already gorged them selves and where laying low. I hope we get some colder weather and get some snow in their, I want to go back before the end of the season!:mrgreen:
