While walking my dogs down at the Fraser River near Chilliwack checking out some duck hunting spots I come across some deer tracks. They were fairly fresh so I thought I would follow them and see what I come up with. A came across a well used spot in the bush were it opens up a little. It is bow or shotgun only so I bring my bow and head in for an evening hunt tonight.
I am sitting there for a couple hours when I hear some crashing around on all the dead leaves. The crashing is all around me but I can't see anything yet. Finally just before dark it see a deer pass behind some tree then again walking away from me. Then the last sighting was it bouncing by. It did circle around me again but couldn't see it. I couldn't tell if it was a buck or a doe but at least I was right there are deer in there. Oh well I will have to go back for another try.
