me and a buddy are heading up to willies puddle this weekend and are hopein to do some hunting while we are up there... my questions is there any kind of whitetail population up there? we have never hunted the area so any info would be great...thanks again

There are whitetails here, but they are not overly numerous. Very few people target this area for whitetail hunting. I believe the success rate last season was ~10% for those hunting whitetails in this area.

Mulies are 4pt or greater, whitetails are any buck. Both seasons close for firearms on Sunday. Bow season, any buck for either species starts Monday.

Ya there are not many whitetails here but they are starting to move in quite rapidly. Rut is in full swing and I have heard about quite a few nice mulies going down. We are having a very unusual season up here this year. NO SNOW!! Normally by now we have a foot or so in the surrounding mountains. I am heading out for the last 4 days of the season myself. Good luck.........

Yup there is snow at the puddle. Seen a four point wt last year at this time, actually it was Dec 9 07. Very few wt allthough I did see two wt does' 21 years ago by cariboo lake, up the river abit.
